| FROM THE LEAGUE OF WOMEN VOTERS | | | FIRST SCHOOL BOARD 227 CANDIDATES FORUM ON JANUARY 26, 2013, 12:30 TO 2:30 P.M. AT THE PARK FOREST LIBRARY The League of Women voters of the Park Forest Area cordially invites you to participate in a candidates' Forum for those running for School District 227 on January 26, 2013 from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. The forum will be held at the Park Forest Public Library, 400 Lakewood Blvd, Park Forest. Please plan to arrive no later than 15 minutest prior to the beginning of the forum. We look forward to your participation in this forum, which provides the residents of School District 227 an opportunity to meet the candidates and hear a meaningful discussion of the important issues. So that we may finalize our plans, school board candidates are asked to review and sign the enclosed Ground Rules which also provide information about the format we will be using. We would appreciate receiving the signed ground rules by January 20. Candidates may mail the documents to the address listed below the signature line. The League of Women Voters must receive it prior to the day of the forum. The League will provide the moderator and timekeepers for the event. The moderator will present the format and the ground rules to the audience. The moderator will be an experienced facilitator who does not live in School District 227 and who will maintain the League's nonpartisanship. The League of Women Voters is a nonpartisan organization that does not endorse candidates for public office. Illinois voters have come to rely on the League's forums as an effective way to learn about the candidates. Please feel free to contact Judy Lohr if you have any questions.
