Thanks for the email. I am just responding to say I totally agree.

I have applied for several jobs with the district over the last 5 years and am well qualified as a teacher assistant/paraprofessional or substitute teacher (I have a certification for both).

I've even called Selma McDonald myself and they keep sending emails telling me they have chosen a candidate without even interviewing all qualified candidates. How is this?

I am ready to see a new board. Tell me what I need to do. Nepotism, theft, and deceit is not helping the children or the community. My son goes to South and the disciplinary there is awful and the children are doing what they want. Im looking to put my son in Marian. Thanks!

THE RIGHTS OF EVERY MAN OR WOMAN ARE DIMINISHED WHEN THE RIGHTS OF ONE MAN OR WOMAN ARE THREATENED.

PARENTS SHOULD NOT HAVE TO PAY TWO TAXES, ONE FOR A PUBLIC SCHOOL THAT DOES NOT WORK FOR ALL THE CHILDREN, AND ANOTHER FOR A PRIVATE SCHOOL TO GET THEIR CHILDREN READY FOR COLLEGE AND BEYOND.  HIGHLY QUALIFIED PERSONNEL SHOULD NOT BE DISCRIMINATED AGAINST IN PREFERENCE TO FAMILY AND FRIENDS.  WITH THE MESS OUR SCHOOLS ARE IN NOW, WE NEED TO HIRE THE BEST AND THE BRIGHTEST.

IN OUR EFFORTS TO SOLVE OUR DISTRICT'S PROBLEMS, ADDRESS THE JUSTICE AND DEMOCRACY THAT IS AMERICA, DENYING THE CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHTS OF TARGETED BOARD MEMBERS, PARENTS, AND TAX PAYING CITIZENS  TO FREE SPEECH AND PUBLIC PARTICIPATION AT OPEN BOARD MEETINGS SHOULD NOT BE DENIED.  THEY SHOULD NOT BE BARRED FROM SPEAKING AT SCHOOL BOARD MEETINGS IN ADDRESSING OUR PLIGHT, AND IGNORED WHEN ASKING FOR HELP WITH THEIR CHILDREN'S SCHOOL CONCERNS AND THE QUALITY OF EDUCATION THAT THEY SHOULD RECEIVE.  THESE ARE ALL QUALITY OF LIFE ISSUES THAT MUST BE ADDRESSED WITH THE VOTING IN OF A NEW SCHOOL BOARD ON APRIL 9, 2013.

WITH LESSTHAN THREE OUT OR EVERY TEN OF OUR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS AT GRADE LEVEL BY THE 2010-2011 SCHOOL YEAR,  ALL THESE ARE REASONS WHY RERSTORATION OF DEMOCRACY, CIVILITY, FAIRNESS, AND VOTING IN A NEW SCHOOL BOARD IS THE FIGHT FOR OUR LIVES.  THE LIVES OF OUR CHILDREN, OUR SCHOOLS, OUR HOMES, OUR TAX DOLLARS, ANDTHE FUTURE OF OUR COMMUNITY.  HELP US  EMPOWER OUR PARENTS, AND OUR COMMUNITY AND IMPROVE OUR SCHOOLS IN THE PROCESS.  HELP US HELP OUR PARENTS, OUR SCHOOLS, CHILDREN, AND COMMUNITY TO  MOVE OUR DISTRICT FORWARD INTO THE TWENTY-FIRST CENTURY.

WE CAN NEVER HAVE A SUCCESSFUL SCHOOL DISTRICT OR A "UNITED" SCHOOL BOARD UNTIL WE PUT CHILDREN FIRST BY CLINGING TO THE JUSTICE AND DEMOCRACY THAT IS AMERICA.
