Because of the length of the discussion I would recommend that this be the only topic of discussion to allow each of us to express our individual thoughts to comprise of the collective board-superintendent goals for this school year. The suggestion that was given during the October 26, 2012 meeting recommend that we each email our thoughts to the president and superintendent on the agreed percentages and wording, skirts around the open meeting act. We already have community members as well as one board member to have reported us to the Attorney General Office. If they FOIA the tape from this meeting it will put us in even more jeopardy of the same. Like I shared with the board members that were present during the Friday, October 26, 2012 meeting, the way the process was being rolled out made me very uncomfortable, apprehensive and gave me the impression that we were rushing an agreement for some reason. It's giving me the impression that something is legally wrong. We are now two months into this school year and to ask for an adoption of this agreement after the start of the school year concerns me. I am concerned that the district is operating under their own jurisdiction. The goals from last year did not yield the results some of us were looking for and we were eager to take the district in a new direction. This once again shows a lack of leadership. I will add this bullet point to my already established chart previously sent to you of why this boards leadership must change, presented during a board meeting two meetings ago.
