Mission Statement For the Rich Township High Schools Coalition For Better Schools To assist school board members, teachers, students, parents, and community members in their efforts to create learner-centered schools, using the Coalition of Essential Schools and the Coalition For Better Schools models in district 227. The Coalition of Essential Schools  came forth as a fortress against the apathy of the American secondary education system. Vision Statement for the Rich Township Coalition For Better Schools In our efforts at raising student achievement and engaging the community to achieve this goal, we expect all Rich Township Coalition for Better Schools Members to be receptive, discerning, critical, and to strive to be selfless and informed. Our vision is to achieve excellence in our schools as a collaborative endeavor  toward creating a quality educational system in our community. We expect the very best from ourselves and from one another in leading our community toward preparing all students to be successful. In order to fulfill our high expectations and in keeping with the spirit of the Rich Township Coalition for Better Schools, we believe that excellence and success require that we are historically aware  even as we look toward a brighter future of excellence, to treasure life-long learning even as we prepare for change and progress. We envision an educational system that equips all students with the intellectual, emotional, and social habits and skills to become successful and informed citizens, that allows all students to use their minds well in educational settings  and throughout their lives.
